WOW, what an event!

We are so happy to have pulled off our first Designer Tag Sale! We had an amazing list of designers who came out to sell off their private inventory of goodies.

Thank you to the following list of designers Molly Luetkemeyer (Kate and Amy), Carla Lane, Stephanie Visser, Paul Smail, Kelly Van Patter, Michelle Workman, Krista Ewart, Ron Woodson and Jaime Rummerfield, New Additions and Lindsey Dann Miller of Former Furniture. The list of consulting designers were, Baiyina Hughley, Erica Islas, Lynnea Schwieters, Jonona Decor and Jennifer Culp. (please view their websites in the participating vendor list to the right)

We had over 300 shoppers that attended our event Saturday and the first thirty shoppers received a gift bag filled with goodies from Bueller Designs, Fauna Pet, Henry Road, Blue Pool Road, the new September issue of C Magazine, New Berlin CD, deals for Nitespa, YAS, Patio Culture, Pampered Bella, a small gift from Adam Carr, not to mention the great bag its self from Yelp.

A big thank you goes out to our food and drinks provided by Sobe Lifewater, Hint Water, Yvonne's Gluten Free Goodies, and Elixr G margaritas.

Thank you to everyone who participated, came out and supported our event, to all my blogger buddies that helped pass the word about our sale, for those of you who twittered the event and of course a big thank you to the LA Times for listing the event!

This big thank you also goes out to the talented Tatiana Kogevinas, who was our amazing graphic designer and designed our logo and invite.

THANK YOU - Amy Swift for being so kind to let us use your beautiful home for our sale!

Designer Tag Sale - Invite!

We are delighted to invite you to our premier designer tag sale, a HIGH-END DESIGNER SHOPPING EVENT!! Please feel free to forward this to your friends and contacts!!

The Designer Tag Sale is an interior designer yard sale/tag sale organized by interior designer Vanessa De Vargas and design editor Vanessa Kogevinas. Hosted by entrepreneur Amy Swift (SMARTY.), the sale will feature over ten top Los Angeles designers selling items from their personal inventories including small furniture such as side-tables, lamps, rugs, pillows, art, accessories and more at incredibly low prices! Nothing will be over $200 and prices will run as low as $5.

Designers include Molly Luetkemeyer, Ron Woodson, Jamie Rummerfield, Lindsey Dann Miller, Vanessa De Vargas, Paula Smail, Carla Lane, Jennifer Culp, Michelle Workman, Krista Ewart, Kelly Van Patter, Erica Islas, Jonamor Décor, Stephanie Visser, Baiyina Hughley, Lynnea Schwieters and Cory Pernicano.


Confirmed vendors are Sobe Lifewater, Elixir G, New Editions, and Yelp who will be participating as a media sponsor.

Free gift bags will be offered to the first thirty attendees and will include items from Henry Road, Bueller Designs, Blue Pool Road, Yelp, Fauna Pet and C Magazine's newest issue!

There will also be a raffle with gifts from Apartment Therapy, Kreme wallpaper and Anney Friday Jewelry. Complimentary entertainment will include Elixir G Margaritas, Yvonne's Gluten-Free Cookies, light passed appetizers and beauty treatments. DJ New Berlin will be spinning.

Any non-purchased/left-over designer inventory will be donated to Biet T'Shuvah, a local West LA residential treatment, spiritual and education center.

The Designer Tag Sale will also feature free mini-consultations and appraisals by designers so we ask that you bring pictures of your home and furniture items if you wish to participate.

Entry fee is $10. Cash only please.

Vanessa Kogevinas’s career in publishing and management has spanned over fifteen years, including positions at Architectural Digest and as a founding editor of Western Interiors and Design magazine. She has also held positions as Project Manager of Veranda's showhouse at Greystone and as a Project Manager at Kathryn M. Ireland design.

Vanessa De Vargas is an LA-based interior decorator and furniture designer who launched her Venice Beach design label and interior design firm Turquoise. She has been named an ‘up-and-coming designer to watch’ by Angeleno magazine, is a regular contributor to Apartmenttherapy.com and runs a successful E-Decorating business.

Sunset Magazine Tag Sale

Still don't get the tag sale idea? Well maybe this will help... Last month Sunset Magazine hosted a tag sale called Secondhand Sunset, where the magazine took all the items from their photo shoots and DIY projects and sold them at unbelievable prices (see above). We hope that you will find some great finds at our sale and some fun items to take home!

Tag Sale....in NY this weekend!

Tag sale you ask, what's that?

With the ever popular tag and pop up stores I thought what better way to get rid of my left over inventory then to have a tag sale! And guess what I wasn't the only one that was ready to do a major summer cleaning!

The Designer Tag Sale is a one day event that will host many talented designers who are selling their private inventory to the public. Each item will be tagged with prices (yeah you get it now) from $5-$200! I know, what a deal!

So I thought what better way to kick off our first few posts but to add some other tag sale information from previous events.
